Joining Phoenix Light & Life Church
Membership Class
1. What is church membership? This one-hour class helps you explore what it means to be a member of Phoenix Light & Life Free Methodist Church. This class clearly explains who we are, and the purpose and vision of our church.
In this class, we focus on the importance of personal spiritual growth and our shared strategy for becoming strong, wholehearted, devoted followers of Christ.
There is no obligation to join Phoenix Light & Life at the end of the class. For some, the class raises additional questions that take time to work through. You will meet other beautiful people with a healthy spiritual hunger and a growing passion for the love-based life lived in a peaceful, nurturing, challenging community of faith
2. Who should attend membership class?
This class is for anyone who wants to deepen their relational connection with God. We believe choosing to become a member at Phoenix Light & Life can help to strengthen your relationship with God and others through Jesus Christ.
3. How does this process work?
Once you have completed the church membership class, you then have the opportunity to decide if you are ready to become a member of Phoenix Light & Life. You can become a member if:
A. You are joining a Christian church for the first time.
B. You have previously been, but are not currently a church member.
C. You are currently a member of another church.
(we do not require exclusive membership).
When you decide to join, you will be asked to fill out a membership form, have your picture taken, and the following Sunday you can join the church.
This class meets several times a year. If you’d like to know when the next membership class is scheduled to meet, please contact our church office or pastor Duff. |
